(Tokyo, Japan) Warehouse TERRADA is delighted to announce its participation as an official fair partner in Tokyo Gendai, an international art fair newly held in Japan in July 2023. During the fair, we will present the highly anticipated TENNOZ ART WEEK event in Tennoz, Tokyo. This collaboration between Tokyo Gendai and the art capital of Tennoz aims to dynamically enhance art scenes in Japan and abroad while promoting international cultural tourism.
Tokyo Gendai is an esteemed art fair that showcases 74 established international galleries, presenting internationally recognized artists. Organized by the Art Assembly which has been showcasing leading art fairs worldwide, the event attracts numerous art collectors from all over the world seeking the diverse and top-level artworks selected by the fair’s selection committee. These guests are expected to be highly interested in exploring Tokyo and its surrounding region, thereby stimulating the growth and vitality of the art market and cultural tourism.
Since Tennoz, Tokyo is located close to the heart of the city and Haneda, Tokyo International Airport, it is conveniently accessible for art collectors from Japan and overseas. Warehouse TERRADA has been operating facilities that promote art and culture, working to create spaces that are accessible to artists, collectors, galleries, and art fans alike to make Tennoz the world’s most exciting art capital. In addition, we have also been operating bonded warehouses and a bonded gallery to promote international art distribution. By connecting Tennoz with the art scene in Japan and abroad, we aim to revitalize the art market and create vitality in the area. With this background, we share Tokyo Gendai’s vision of fostering a new venue for the presentation of diverse cultures in Tokyo, and we are honored to participate as an official fair partner.
We will organize the TENNOZ ART WEEK event during the Tokyo Gendai art fair and present various programs mainly for the VIPs of the fair. There will be a new installation performance by Tomoko Mukaiyama, an internationally recognized pianist based in Amsterdam, a night time operation at TERRADA ART COMPLEX, one of Japan’s largest gallery complexes, an exhibition by the Contemporary Art Dealers Association Nippon (CADAN). The collaboration between Tokyo Gendai and the Tennoz art district will help domestic and international art scenes to become even more dynamic.
Warehouse TERRADA, through our storage and art culture services, will continue to deliver art to more people and enrich their life.
